Recap – Author Talk with Coventry Edwards-Pitt February 7

The Waban Library is happy to announce our first author talk of the year. There is much about aging we can’t control, but there is much that we can. Join us for a talk with author Coventry Edwards-Pitt and nationally recognized wealth advisor for a discussion of her book Aged Healthy, Wealthy & Wise.

The book is a guide to aging well that is crucial to any of us who are eager to get the most out of lives. The stories and research it contains will inspire you to take the actions in your own life that will set you on a course not only to age well yourself but also to help ensure that your family experiences your later years not as a burden, but as a gift.

Join us for an exciting talk about this book, followed by a mixer with the author at which refreshments will be provided. There will be an opportunity at the event to purchase your own copy of the book.
Twenty people braved a damp and frosty night to hear Waban resident and financial manager, Coventry Edwards-Pitt speak to us about her most recent book, “Aged Healthy, Wealthy and Wise.”
In her second appearance at the WLC, the first was on “Raising Children Healthy Wealthy and Wise,” Covie, as she is known to us in Waban, explained how her work and research show the keys to aging well. The book is available at the Waban Library Center and is an invaluable resource for all of us who want to grow older with dignity and greater understanding. A “must read.”

Recap – Author Talk Jessica Shattuck December 5th 7:30 pm

The WLC was host on a rainy Tuesday night to forty two ardent fans of Jessica Shattuck, author of “The Women in the Castle.” This was one of our best turnouts in years. She was warm and eager to tell us about her personal connection to this absorbing tale of German women who resisted Nazism during and right after WW2. The audience was a collection of people who had never been to the WLC, volunteers, and various book groups. A rich literary evening at the WLC.
