Recap – Author Talk with Alex Beam October 4th 7:30 pm

A standing room crowd of 60 thronged the Waban Library Center Thursday night to hear noted columnist, Alex Beam. An unusually intense question and answer period was followed by a lively reception. The theme, journalism in the age of Trump, was discussed from all angles. People learned much more about the triumphs and challenges of reporting on a mercurial President.

Recap -Author Talk Allegra Goodman Monday May 7th

 

Monday evening the Waban Library Center was the scene of a very successful and exciting author talk by celebrated novelist, Allegra Goodman. Fifty five people were treated to a lively discussion of her writing style and popular books. Her current book, “The Chalk Artist,” is available at the WLC and is hugely entertaining.

Best known for “Kaaterskill Falls,” Cambridge author Allegra Goodman’s most recent novel, “The Chalk Artist,”  garnered very high praise nationally. She will be joining us on May 7th to speak to us about her latest work and the process by which she creates these amazing stories. Enjoy refreshments, mingle with the author, and have the opportunity to buy her book.
