Our popular monthly game day perfect for families – come gather with your neighbors and play board games.
The Family Game Day was a lot of fun for several parents and kids. About 50 people participated in this event .
A note from Alice Jacobs, our Volunteer Director.
“If you, like me, have found the debates and everything else surrounding this contentious election year abrasive, then you have a potential remedy at the library.
Next Monday night at 7:45 we are very pleased to welcome back to the WLC Dr. Christina Hardway, who will lead a one hour meditation session.
There is no charge for this relaxing workshop, and Prof. Hardway (she is Prof. of Psychology and Chair of the Psychology Department at Middlesex College) will answer questions afterwards.”
Newton resident Christina teaches a variety of techniques to help us achieve a less stressed lifestyle. This free 90 minute workshop is open to any adult who would like an introduction to the techniques of mindfulness and meditation. She will lead us in a few exercises and will invite group discussions and questions. You will leave the workshop with a better sense of mindfulness techniques and information about further resources to explore mindfulness in more depth.
Donations to your all‐volunteer WLC are always welcome!
