THE GIRLS SCOUTS

Girls Scouts

Waban’s 2nd Grade Brownie troop, which consists of fourteen second grade girls, is part of the Girl Scouts of America. The Girl Scouts has a membership of more than 3.3 million girls and adults, and over 50 million women in the United States are Girl Scout alumnae! Our troop meets twice a month at the Waban Library Center. We are very grateful to have such a wonderful venue for our meetings. The goals of our troop are consistent with those of the broader Girl Scouts, to have girls discover who they are and what they stand for, to connect with vibrant and diverse peers in our own neighborhood and around the globe, and together to take action to make a difference in the world. Community outreach and volunteerism play a big part in learning about our community and the world. Our troop would love to welcome any third grade girls in Waban in September of 2011! Please contact Kelly at e-mail: Kelly Woolbert or Erin at e-mail: Erin Sanders.
