A Letter from Volunteer Director Alice Jacobs

How is the library doing?

Dear Friends,

For the past six months we at the Waban Library Center have been keeping your neighborhood library safely maintained and clean while providing you with the wonderful books you have come to expect here in Waban.

We have done this with the help of eighteen volunteers who have worked since June without any ill health or incident. While social distancing and constant wearing of masks has taken away the opportunity to gather and laugh together like we used to, our contactless Books-to-Go program has allowed us to continue serving the public.

We had hoped to offer limited in-person browsing before the end of 2020, but due to the growing number of cases in Massachusetts we have “shelved” that idea for a later date. Instead, please feast your eyes on some new selections below and order some of the many great books we have for you!

Our books are yours and just a click away! We continue to be open Tuesday and Thursday from 12pm-2pm and on Saturday from 10am-12pm. We look forward to seeing you at the WLC sometime soon!

Thank you,
Alice Jacobs
